According to the company, they wanted to tap into the calmness people get from being in nature, and green was the perfect choice as “it’s kind of like nature’s neutral”.
PPG: Chinese Porcelain
Inspired by the rich cobalt blue of traditional Chinese porcelain, PPG’s color of the year is absolutely stunning. This rich and moody blue creates a calm yet hopeful mood. The company was inspired by the current trend of escaping technology and sought out a color that would bring customers back to natural elements like the sea and sky.
Valspar
Once again, rather than limit themselves to one color, Valspar has selected 12 colors that they think will define 2020. As with the other paint brands, these colors are all nature-inspired.
